ATICOM Workshop: Post-Editing and Machine Translation

ATICOM Workshop – Post-editing, Machine Translation, and Apps in Studio 2017

This year, ATICOM, the professional association for career translators and interpreters, will hold a workshop on “Machine Translation and Post-editing” in Düsseldorf from September 1-2. The workshop is geared towards translators and linguists who routinely work with CAT* tools and who want to obtain technical and practical skills in the area of machine translation.

On the first day of the workshop, Tom Imhof, CEO of localix.biz – Language Technology Consulting, will demonstrate how to work more efficiently using machine translation in SDL Trados Studio 2017 as well as innovations and Studio Apps that accelerate and support translation work.

The second day of the workshop will focus on another important component of machine translation: post-editing. Katrin Marheinecke, Business Process & Quality Manager at text&form, will lead a discussion about the requirements that have to be fulfilled during post-editing, the types of text often encountered as well as common pitfalls and the practical side of post-editing work.

Participation in the workshop costs €290; the early bird discount is valid until July 1. The number of participants is restricted to 15, so if you are interested, register soon!
